I bought streets and trips 2007. Doesn't have pocket streets.
I have SNT 2004 with PS, but it's not compatible.
To get voice prompts, I need Pocket Streets 2006...I think.
But there doesn't seem to be any way to get it except by buying
yet another copy of SNT 2006. Who knows if that's compatible with
snt2008 and beyond. GRRRRRR!!!
Is there an alternative way to get just PS2006??
Thanks, mike

Find it left over at a retail location or on eBay.

I have it laying here, you can have it for $20 shipped by First Class
mail in the U.S.

Thanks for the offer, but that's exactly my problem. PS costs more
than the PDA I'm gonna run it on.
Frys had SNT2007 WITH USB GPS for $30. Why the heck couldn't MS just
include Pocket Streets with 2007? GRRRRR!!!

Its only an opinion, but I think Pocket Streets is absolutely useless
junk. I tried the version I got with S&T 2006 on a PDA was not worth
messing with for any reason or purpose.

I'm sensing from this and your other questions and comments here that
maybe what drives your distrust or dislike of some of the stuff on the
market is the costs.

MicroSoft has probably stopped development on Pocket Streets simply
because there is not enough money to be made there. Their efforts with
PS were inadequate at best, they either had to make it better or give up
and I think they gave up.

I wouldn't invest much time and money into Pocket Streets today -
Microsoft dropped it in S&T 2007, and it hasn't changed much in the
past few releases - if at all. I am not aware of support for spoken
directions in Pocket Streets (or directions at all, IIRC Pocket
Streets was more of a glorified map viewer than anything else).

Gilles.
