When I say "reports as" I'm referring to MapSource Help when you select
About and Product Info.

The man who has Version 8 is never at the mercy of the man who doesn't think
it exists! :-)

In MapSource under help click on about MapSource then click on Product
Info... then City Navigator North America NT 2008 reports data version
as 9.00 not 8. Don't know Jim where you see version 8 for NT 2008.

I said what you said: 2008 shows up as version 9. I didn't think there was
a version 8 but I must have missed it because Phil Wheeler disabused me of
the notion that version 8 doesn't exist.

No I only corrected you Jim because you said it reported as version 8.
Here is your quote: (CNNA NT 2008 reports as Version 8. CNNA NT v7
(which was its name)

I use CN NA v 8 in my 60Cx. It was released about
a year ago

My 2720 came with CN NA NT v 8. I recently
upgraded the 2720 to v. 2008, which was released
this Summer. Not upgrading the 60Cx since I
mostly use it for hiking with topo maps loaded (in
addition to parts of CN NA v.8).

v. 8 is not v. 2008; would be v. 9 if they had not
changed the numbering system.
