I have a Garmin GPSMAP 76Cx with 256MB microSD card installed.

Is there somewhere in the 76Cx menu where I can see how much of the card's
capacity has been used or how much is remaining?

I have read the manual through and through and don't find this info --
probably missed it somewhere.

Thanks.

Apparently not in any normal user display. Possibly in the diagnostics,
but no one has confirmed that, either.

Of course, if you loaded the card in a computer, you can use that
computer to display how big the map load is .. without attaching your
GPS receiver. That's how I do it.

Thanks. After reading the manuals again I figured that was the way to do
it -- select the maps to load, see how big they are and keep track of what I
load.

I would think that you can receive the information from your GPS into Map
Source program (including maps, like all other data) then be able to see the
number of maps and the size total at the bottom of the screen.

At least that is how it works with my GPS V and Rino units.

I have the GPSMAP 60CSx and there's no easy way to do this using the
2.60 firmware, however in 2.62 beta, there is a way to do this. 2.70
was released today and I'm assuming it's in the same area, but I
haven't installed it yet, so I'm not sure.

In 2.62 beta on my 60CSx, I go into the Tracks menu, then go to Setup,
then to "Data Card Setup". There it shows the usage on your memory
card as a percentage.

Of course you can also take out the memory card, put it into a card
reader, connect the card reader to your computer and look at the usage
there.
