Tried it out some. One BIG improvement is that the auto compass now
actually works in modes other than "off road". But on the negative
side, the auto compass arrow has not been improved. Why is it so hard
to make an arrow that will show in which direction you are going at a
quick glance - just like the arrow in marine mode, or on the old 176?
That should be very easy compared to the first fix.

By the way, I have a similar complaint about little magnetic compasses,
too. In a emergency or panic situation a person who is not that
familiar with his compass can easily forget which side of the arrow is
north or south. Mag compasses should have "red is north" printed on
them in big bright letters.

After upgrading to v.4.00 my 276C stops acquiring satellites when coming out
of a (400 m) tunnel. This happened several times. No satellites were
detected even after 5 minutes. So I have to shut it down every time and
restart. Does anyone have similar experiences ?

Not the same but a similar, yesterday: after a 250 km trip
without any problem, the satellite reception has stopped
completly. And nothing was better after an immediat restart.

But all seems OK again today...
