Garmin etrex legend contrast setting question.

I have a couple of Garmin etrex legends and on one unit, it seems the
contrast setting is way too dark. I have to scroll the setting almost to
the lightest setting for it to be fairly readable without being too
dark. My other unit is fine, when I set the contrast bar right in the
middle, it's perfect. So I'm assuming when they set the contrast level
in factory setting on my other unit, they set it too dark. I know there
is usually a consumer and factory setting. Is there a way to get into
the factory settings mode so I can turn the contrast up a bit, so when I
enter consumer contrast mode, my contrast bar setting will be like my
other unit? Thanks.
