Can anyone point me in the right direction for a method where I can
convert the.tpx files from a just-purchased PN-60W to .gpx, or
anything else importable to Expert GPS?
Thanks!

Hi,
I have both ExpertGPS and a PN-60 which replaced a PN-20.
I have not done any transfers lately but I remember something in the manual
about the PN-60 using the GPX format on the external memory card.
Google "GPSBable" or :
http://www.gpsbabel.org/
Also:
http://forums.topografix.com/index.php?showforum=4
And the Delorme forums:
http://forum.delorme.com/viewforum.php?f=181
Are better places to ask.

Thank you, Stephen, for the useful information. This is my first DeLorme, and
being used to to Garmin, I find it a bit of a challenge.
Best,

The ExpertGPS site would be a good place to look, since they were pioneers
in the GPX development.
I think they tend not to import many formats any more, relying on external
tools to be maintained properly, and provide good gpx files.
Take a look at GPSbabel, which is included with Google Earth, or available
separately from gpsbabel.org.
c:Program FilesGoogleGoogle Earthclientgpsbabel.exe
gpsbabel -t -r -w -i garmin -f usb: -o gpx -F myfile.gpx
tracks, routes, waypoints, from a Garmin usb to a gpx file.
A search for ".tpx" in the box at the upper right of gpsbabel.org returned
nothing, but "delorme" returned some pages of hints.

The PN60 (and PN40 with 2.8 fimware) are GPX devices.
There is no conversion needed.
Waypoints are internally stored as .gpx
Tracks are saved as .gpx when you save it.
(Unlike Garmin, no information is lost when track is saved)
You can drag and drop (or import) .gpx into Topo NA and export .gpx.
You can save either type of file on internal or external memory.
If memory serves me right, only firmware updates have to be on internal memory.
