Location: San Diego, CA

Requirements:
The Senior GIS Developer will be part of a team that is implementing
and maintaining a new enterprise GIS infrastructure environment to
accommodate GIS application needs in both Windows and Unix
environments.
This person will manage GIS applications and assist the database
administrators in managing GIS databases.
The chosen candidate will have a good understanding of spatial data
and the ability to manage and deploy web applications from development
to production environments.

The GIS Developer will be responsible for three main tasks:
=95 Manage, maintain, configure, and update ArcGIS Server,
ArcIMS, and on Windows and UNIX environments.
=95 Provide technical server based solutions for on-going GIS
projects such as GIS configuration, resource allocation, and project
direction.
=95 Provide technical assistance to front-end GIS developers and
back-end database administrators.

As a GIS Developer, you will provide support in the following areas:
=95 Define and maintain current and future GIS Architecture for
the enterprise.
=95 Manage & administer ArcGIS Server by creating and managing
WMS and WFS, defining mxd, monitoring user activities, performance
tuning, and tracing errors.
=95 Manage ArcIMS by creating and managing WMS and WFS, defining
AXL, monitoring user activities, and performance tuning, and tracing
errors.
=95 Deploy GIS web application, GIS .NET desktop applications,
and ArcMAP application to production environment.
=95 Update and keep current GIS technical documentation and
enterprise GIS architecture design schematics.
=95 Follow IT project lifecycle and IT standards for
architecture and information security

As a technical consultant to front-end GIS and back-end DBA
professionals, the successful candidate will provide support in the
following areas:
=95 Provide technical assistance to front-end GIS developers for
=95 debugging, deployment, database requirements, processing
resources, and
=95 application logics.
=95 Provide interaction and communication with DBA/arcSDE
administrators on capacity requirements and ongoing database
administration needs and tasks.


The following experience is required:
=95 Programming: 5+ years or development experience using Java/
J2EE and/or .NET environments,
Eclipse, JDeveloper, Visual Basic for server side scripting.
=95 2+ Experience developing applications with ESRI programming
objects
2+ years of hands on experience with ESRI's ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS,
ArcMAP, and good understanding of spatial data.
=95 Experience with Python programming is desirable
=95 2+ ArcSDE experience including versioned databases.
