Australian Country area maps

I am tossing up which GPS to purchase the Tom Tom XL or Navman S50 i do a
lot of country driving and wondered if anyone knows which has the best maps
for detail
for Country and Rural in Australia.

I was happy with the Garmin GPS76 and City Navigator Australia. It was kind
of expensive, but it offered what seemed like good coverage. Initially, I
thought there were some gaps. But there might not be any roads in the bulk
of the Australian land mass. ;-)

You could view the detail with a Garmin map viewer online. Kind of clunky,
but you can see the detail.
