gps unit with the largest & brightest screen?

Hi folks:

I've been running a Magellan Meridian color for several years and I'm
admittedly somewhat adicted to its quirkiness. However, if I were to
look for something newer, I'd be looking in part for something with a
larger and brighter screen.

Short of using a laptop as a gps receiver, what units would you all
recommend? I'd appreciate your thoughts and opinions on this.
