Is it possible to enter a locations coordinates in a Magellan 4250? If

Thanks for your advice.

Nothing special. I just know that when entering an address with a
TomTom one option is to enter the longitude and latitude #s. It
appears this cant be done with a Magellan 4250.

My 4040 is dead and returned, but if memory serves, it was possible to enter
as 'custom POIs'. This took using their POI editor software on a PC, then
saving to an SD card. No way to copy from the card into the internal flash
memory - the card had to be in the instrument to navigate to the 'custom
POI'. Also, for no good reason, that software only accepted coordinates in
fractional degrees, not d-m-s or d-m.m. I am guessing that 4250 works the
same way. Clunky, but better than nothing.
I am sure that it's not too difficult to use their backup and restore
feature as a back door to add waypoints defined as Lat-Lon, but not aware of
any program that does it.
