I have a Roadmate 700 that when it was first sold, did not include a
POI editor. Apparently if I had upgraded to version 5 it would have
included the POI Manager on a separate disk. Unfortunately, I skipped
straight to Version 6 and it did not come with the POI Editor.

Magellan technical "support" in India says it is "no longer
available". The later edition POI Editors do not work with the
700/760. I understand that the correct version is V1.07 and carried
part # 500188.

Does anyone know where I can download it, or I'd happily pay someone
to copy it for me.

Thanks!

Mark

Too late; it's gone.

What part of "remove the obvious" do you not understand?

i'm not looking for the poi manager; i just want to know how do you 'ping'
someone. i don't understand what you mean by quoting back to me, "remove
the obvious". obviously i understand its meaning; i wrote it to clarify my
email address. is there something regarding the 'ping' that should be
obvious to me and apparently isn't? sorry but i don't understand; i'm not a
geek and i haven't been around pc's much.
