Hi all:
I have a magellan gps receiver, a meridian color, so that is my frame of
reference on gps usage. I recently acquired and installed a program
called Motonav on my Motorola Q phone. It works with a Motorola
bluetooth gps unit, a T815.
So far, I can only report one odd glitch in the process -- as I haven't
had it out of the house yet for any actual testing. But I thought it was
odd that the program came loaded on a micro SD card. It was made my
motorola, just like the phone -- which takes a mini SD card. The
directions refer to using the mini-sd card adapter, but the adapter
provided was a full-size sd card.
In short, I had to use an sd card reader to copy the files from the
micro card to a folder on my hard drive, then back onto a blank 2gb mini
card which I was then able to insert in the phone. Amazingly, that
worked just fine.
Has anyone else out there experimented with the Motonav system?
I would be most interested in hearing your comments. Thanks!
