What the heck am I missing here? Seems like the software guys and the hardware
guys at Magellan are from different planets.
I have an eXplorist 210 (couple years old) and MapSend Topo3D (Version 1)
software.
It is a complete mystery to me how to transfer maps from Topo3D to the GPS. The
software wants a serial port, and the GPS is connected via a USB port.
I also have Vantage Point installed, thinking that could be some kind of
"bridge", but without any "help" facility that program isn't very "helpful"!

The only (undocumented) possibility to copy the maps is to export them to
the hard drive, which is some hidden folder inside your installation
directory. Then you can copy the map files manually onto your explorist.
Vantage Point is useless for the 210.
