I used the link above in an attempt to get the update. I recevied a
note that "We are experiencing technical difficulties with this update
with some customers. We will be re-activating the update pages as soon
as the issue is resolved. Please come back soon."

Has anyone followed up to determine what the new re-release date will
be?

It is November 18th and the page is still unavailable!

It is disapointing that a company of this size can not support their
products adequately, my gps is only a year old, so if they can not
support that, what hope do the new buyers have of being looked after.

Come on Magellan get your act together, I had faith in you when I
bought your product please look after your customers

November 20, 2007

Checked the site again today for Map Updates for the RM 800 and found
the same message...???? C'mon Magellan, get it together!

I'm looking to buy one for Christmas for the wife, but need to have a
little more faith in this line of products.

Any suggestions on a reasonably "stupid-proof" GPS that women would
like?

Thanks
