Had a Roadmate 800 that crapped out and had it sent of for warranty work.
Tried many times to track down the unit to see what was being done. Never
could get through on their Technical Support line. Resorted to sending
emails.
Surprised by a phone call today from Magellan. Seems they were upset by the
fact that I could not get through on their Technical Support line. The
gentleman that I spoke to was very apologetic and consequently offered me a
brand new Maestro 4210 as compensation for my troubles. Of course I
accepted; and he indicated that I should be in possession of the new unit in
two weeks or so ( Canada)
I'm assuming of course that the Maestro 4210 is a better unit than the
Roadmate 800 that crapped out on me.
I think that is the only assumption you can reasonably make at the moment.
The reality may not, however, live up to the assumption.
Please let us know what you think AFTER it arrives.
