Please excuse the cross posting, but I hope it will attract information
quickly (quicker?).
I'm coming to the fountain of GPS wisdom here, hoping that someone will tell
me there is an easy way to do what we need to do.
We would like to take lat/long readings (set a waypoint) of our power pole
locations with a GPS and export those to our GIS mapping program.
The mapping program will import CSV (CVS?) files.
Which handheld GPS/software combination do you think would work best and how
would we do it?
We do have a Garmin CSX 60 that we can use. I
would think that would be adequate if there is some way of getting a csv
file out of it.
