Hi, Which software do I need for the Explorist 500 LE? I ran across a copy
of Mapsend Topo 3.0 . When I tried to upload a region to the 500, it didn't
recognize the gps! I think this is an older version of Magellan's line of
software and won't work w/ my new 500 LE? If you guys can give me some tips
and/or suggestions on where to start I would appreciate it so much!!

Just what does 'ran across' a copy mean? The Mapsend V3 versions (Topo
and DirectRoute) programs are connected to a specific device, and will
NOT work with some other device.
Start by buying a NEW copy of the software for use with YOUR GPS.
