760 update and repair

I received the much promised update (5.32) December 26. I did an
installation per the directions and the unit failed to power up after that.
Many calls to those polite people in India (who speak a language I can not
understand) and a lot of time on hold *finally* resulted in a RM number and
a Texas address to send the unit. I mailed it via UPS, insured and signature
requested. They received it on the 17th. Today the Little Brown Truck
brought the 760 back. After about 20 minutes it finally acquired the
satellites. It still sees the world with glasses adjusted to 4th quarter
2006.

This sugar coated tale hides like a veneer, the anguish that I had with
Magellan, it's "Support Team", it's "Technical Team" and Magellan Corporate.
