my gpsmap60 works fine, but one thing I can't do: finding addresses. It does
find the POI's without a problem, but when I try to look for an address, the
creen stays empty. What could solve this problem?

Just to be sure, the map product loaded in the unit is a routing-type,
rather than a topo-type?

Yes, it is. I can use it for finding all POI's

It is not about finding POI, the question is will it create routes that
follow the road vectors as they are drawn on the maps? If it will not
do that then it may be mapping that does not include the autorouting
data. And the address would be part of the autorouting data.

Tell us what mapping it is too, that may be meaningful.
