What a ripoff!

I bought the Extrex Vista CX bike mount. It comes with a replacement cover and
bike mount. However the cover doesn't fit the Vista CX; only the regular Vista,
because of the new shape needed for the memory card. I called Garmin; they said
just take the clip off the replacement cover and use it on the original cover! I
said why not give me a replacement cover that fits? They said no.

It is a ripoff because for the same price, a Vista user gets a replacement cover
that is easy to switch between, and the Vista CX user cannot use the replacement
cover, and has to use a screwdriver to install and remove the clip onto the
original cover!

Doesn't seem right.

We just found out that with the "c" model eTrex series that you don't
need the entire bike mount for the reasons you describe. You only need the
rail mount adapter. Saves you $5.00 over buying the entire mount. Also so
you know the "c" models come with the clip to use with the bike mount.
