A new website has just been launched:

Laptop GPS World www.laptopgpsworld.com

You are all cordially invited to visit and join the forum. There is still
very little content, as the site is brand new, but it will come :-)

Nice website Marvin.
I'm very happy to find a site without a bunch of advertisments and
scams. You have a very clean site and I'll be back many more times.

Good luck..
Joanne

Haha, thanks Joanne :-)

* I do not plan on placing any adds there - and I'm glad you noticed and
commented on it.

* There are some freeware programs available for download to anyone - they
contain no adware, no spyware, no virus, either :-)

* And just for the record - if users wish to register to participate in the
forum, their e-mail address will never be sold, leased, given away :-)

It's not a commercial site. It's just a hobby of mine :-)

Marvin
I have looked at your website and find it great.
I am new to gps but have decided to go the laptop route as my trips
ususally involve photography which means I prefer to have my laptop
with me. Also, the larger screen and the ability to have internet
access at stoppoints is valuable.
I have read your reviews with interest. Have purchased S&T 2008 and am
working with that locally to become familiar. So far so good. I also
am using my son's Autoroute 2006 as we are planning an extended trip
to Europe in the spring. I purchased a copy of Navigator 7 Europe as
well. Do you know of any tutorials for Nav7? I have found it to be
harder to work with than Autoroute but seems to contain much more
detail. I find the interface takes some getting used to.
Are you aware of any user's comments re the performance of Nav7 Europe
in Navigation mode? Unfortunately I won't be able to find out until I
get there and get it talking to the gps unit.
Thanks for your info
