Over the years I've been using GPS & laptops and for the last several
years a Garmin 2610. And my cell phone is almost 7 years old.

Due to new job responsibilities, it's time to get a smartphone for
Outlook/Exchange connections. There's Blackberries, Treos, etc.

What device can also do the job that my 2610 does now? I hope to have
everything 'inside' so I don't have extra protrusions to snap off.

I need a miracle gizmo!

If money's not object then take a look at the Nokia E90 - they're
available you've just got to dig...
Not that many reviews yet as it's not been out long, but I would
suggest it's just what you want, ALL and I mean ALL in one device.

It is crap at SatNav from what I have read, plus you can't run the
wealth of software that you can get for Pocket PC's.

If you need fuss-free Outlook/Exchange synchronisation (without paying
for add-ons), then avoid Nokia / Blackberry etc, and go for a Windows
Mobile (WM) device. They support Exchange Activesync straight-out-of-
the-box (although you may need to add your Exchange certificate and/or
have the correct permissions from your sys admin.

WM5 is good, WM 6 is better. The XDA Orbit from O2 is WM5 with GPS
built-in. See: http://mobileguide.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?deviceId=401&tab=1

Beware, the equivalent device from T-Mobile, has the wifi hobbled.
