I bought my wife a TomTom One. I was looking at their website, and they
have detailed regional maps for sale. Are they different than the maps
that come on the unit? Are they worthwhile?

Depends. For example, a map of Germany on its own will be better for
coverage of Germany than Great Britain and Major Roads of Europe. But if you
have the Western Europe map, then that includes the same detail for Germany
as is on the German map. What is the map name and version?

They have southeast regional maps of the USA for sale as well. Are these
the same maps or more detailed?
