Being new to GPS, I am still looking at different software packages. Is Tom
Tom strictly a UK application, or does it include up to date USA mapping as
well? Thanks.

I have used Ver. 3 and now 4 for the USA on an ipaq with the wired GPS and
am quit pleased with it. I look forward to version 5 to regain some lost
features in Ver. 4. There are some TomTom "sour grapes" here complaining
about the maps being years out of date. I average 60K+ miles a year around
the US traveling for work and have actually run into very few problems as
far as large errors in the map data. I also use a couple other programs on
my laptop in conjunction with TomTom on the PPC and find that the laptop
programs seem to be about the same as far as map data is concerned.
Overall, I am pleased with the performance and accuracy of my TomTom setup.

I use TT 2004 USA, and am also looking forward to the next version. I have
three nav apps (TT, PMN, and Mapopolis) and I use TomTom the most. One
feature it has that the others lack is an 'auto turn on and connect' for
bluetooth connection. I just wish it would run on a laptop as well.

I would like to see a laptop version of TT also. I just ordered iGuidance
for the laptop to check it out on a trip coming up. I mainly use Delorme
for the laptop with GPS and it works well. The iGuidance package has laptop
and PPC version in the same package.
