After considering all my options, I had decided to buy an etrex as a
temporary unit, but found a 76cx used with a bluechart set available for
125 bucks!

I'll be set for a while now thanks all, especially, Jack!

That's a good deal, I have City Navigator on mine also so it works for
me both on the way to pick up the boats or the way home after a
delivery. It is a wonderful thing for finding things and places either
from the water or by road.

What area are you boating in? My regular area (seasonally of course) is
from Bar Harbor, ME down to Cape Cod and Portsmouth, RI. But I'll go
about anywhere for a nice boat ride. Last year I got to help with a
delivery of a 46 foot power boat from Cincinnati, OH to Providence, RI.
It was like seeing Lakes Erie, Ontario, the Erie Canal, the Hudson
River, and NYC from an RV on the water.

Bahamas this time. I go on big boats! My family tries to do a cruise a year.

This will be cruise 5

I travel a lot for work too, and love to play with maps and map
programs. My old GPSmap 12 gave up the ghost.

I used that a lot on my fathers bass boat. Now all i need is a mount for
the card, and one for my Triumph Speedmaster.
