I have a few files with POI. Where do I save these files, in order to get
them downloaded on mij TomTom.

Anywhere you like!
Connect the TomTom to your computer using the USB cable, and turn it on. If
it asks whether you want to connect to the computer, say yes.
Close down TomTom Home if it opens automatically, and use Windows
Explorer[1] to copy the files from your chosen location to the
directory/folder on TomTom which holds your country's (or region's) maps -
e.g. Great Britain, Western Europe, etc.
[1] Your TomTom device will appear in Explorer (or any alternative file
management program you may be using) as an external disk drive - with a
drive letter such as E:\ or F:\ depending on what other devices you have.
Make sure that all file copying activity has finished before disconnecting
the TomTom.
