Any buying tips on PDA?GPS for Australia, I have a price on Garmin from
Singapore, but they do not look to be any cheaper than Australia and am not
sure whether they would have data suitable for Australia loaded into them.

I am looking for a unit with street navigation included, so should have this
loaded on or easy to load from computer. Also price requirements is at the
lower end of the market.

Or MIO 168 + Destinator, that for sure has a complete Australian Map...
(that bad boys use to dwld for free at......................., but it's also
possible to buy it at reasonable prices).
(I said Navman PIN because Navman is a New Zealand firm, and obviously has
an accurate and up-to-date cartography of New Zealand and Australia).

Navman purchases their Australian mapping from Sensis (as does
TravRoute for CoPilot and Garmin)
TravRoute and Garmin use the same mapset (better routing data) but
Navman use a different mapset which used to have better rural coverage
(the latest release of the higher quality mapset has just caught up).

Destinator uses mapping from MapInfo which is a little behind all of
the above.
