I received a good deal on a Nuvi 680 BUT does anyone know if it is
possible to load a route made on the computer to the nuvi?

Other then that and it missing a few roads (shows me in the middle of
nowhere) it is working great.

No, you can't. Sorry.

Hi TeddyBear,
You can transfer custom POIs to your nuvi from your computer using
Garmin POI Loader software, and if your 680 is like my 360, you can
then set one of your POIs as a destination then set another to be
inserted as a via point. You may be limited to inserting only via
point at a time.

It is a bit more work but you can also create a GPS tour that will
guide you on a prescribed route. I have several examples here:
http://travelbygps.com/TourGuide.php

I also have a tutorial for using TourPoint GPS Tour Guide Authoring
software here:

I hope this helps!

Make sure you get the latest software update for the 680 that came out just
a little while ago.
Garmin advertises 1 free year of MSD direct traffic, but purposely left it
buggy since the products' debut. Basically, it didn't work. Now that the
subscription is almost over, Garmin decided to enable traffic on MSN direct.
I travel with it often, and it never worked. Now it works as advertised.
Pretty poor of Garmin, but that's another thread.
Make sure you do not buy the Travel Guide, as it is useless with the Nuvi.
Garmin said they would try to fix the software a long time ago, but they
have not as of yet.
