Hi, I'm just learning my new NUVI 350. I am looking at accessories and
wondering if you all have any advice.
1. Do I need the $299 SD data card, City Navigator NT, North America
for better map than what comes with the NUVI? The garmin site didn't
tell me why I'd want to purchase this.
2. Antenna - as in extended antenna (thanks to this site I learned to
only open it 1/2 way for best reception) - but the garmin site has
a. GA 27C low profile remote automobile antenna $99.99
b. GA 25MCX low profile remote GPS antenna $31.49
I live in North Carolina, Raleigh area. No large mountains or tunnels.
Would these extended antennas improve anything? From your experience. I
can do Google. smile. (please don't take offense, just wondering if any
one has these items and would recommend, or say "don't bother".
If I am missing information, let me know. Mostly, Car use, I travel in
Ohio, Virgina, WV, SC, DC, Pa. etc. Don't plan on going to Mexico.
Canada - yes, in a rental car.

NO.. the system is fine just as it is... The SD card will just give you the
same contents you have now... I am not even sure it IS usable on a NUVI. At
least Tech Support said there was no way to import/use any maps other than
what is in the NUVI at purchase. Are you sure it was listed as an accessory
for the 350?
I Have used it extensively in the past 6 months and the only time I wished I
had an antenna extension was during a rain storm. If you have problems with
your NUVI at start up finding satellites... the issue may not be with the
antenna hardware go to WWW.GPSPASSION.COM and look around for the NUVI
thread.
Vegas Sam
Thanks,
The Garmin site listed a long list of accessories, but they may not be
for the NUVI. The site has little or no information on each accessories.
This info really helps. thanks so much.

BTW.. go to the Garmin site & download /read the Nuvi 360 manual. It is MUCH
better than the 350 manual.
Just ignore any Bluetooth references....

Awesome! thanks for the tip. The 350 manual was rather low in content.
