Navigation code issue.

I recently bought a 2004 pilot with Navigation which went bersrk, when
I drove to canad without the coverage map. Never used it there. when I
came back in to the US, it got automatically reset and askingfor the
code. I entered the code which given to me with the car. it does not
accept. disconnected from battery and tried again after reset. no
luck. the code for the radio works. The dealer tells me I have to
bring it in to take the DVD player out to get a second code from the
bottom of the player to reset and will cost me $95. Please advice...
