"In addition, it provides some street-level coverage..." Exactly, some. Many
even biger cities have 2-3 streets in this map. Well, considerable advance
in comparison with just blank area in Europe. The most interesting thing is
the same software in 2002 had perfect coverage of these countries. Many
people (including me) still are forced to use the old version in case they
need navigation software on a PC. Is anyone talking about crisis and
business improvement plans?

Which country are you interested in? Just curious.

To me it looks like decent street-level coverage with alot of POIs, but I
have no local knowladge, and I only judge it by looking it the map, with out
ever being there.

Do you know if any current mappong software, navigation software, or online
maps offer better coverage? Google Maps perhaps?

Years ago the old versions of MapPoint (2002) used map data by acompany
called AND, but now Microsoft uses mostly Navteq.
