I have CN6 installed with CN8 upgrade. I'm using the latest version of
Mapsource v.6.11.5. Both CN's work fine and I can select either one from
the product selection drop down on the toolbar. I just bought Fishing
hotspots east and it says during installation that it sees an existing
Mapsource installation and that it will be modified to accept this product.
It finishes installing and when I go to the Mapsource application, there is
no product installed accept the CN's. If you go to Help About Product Info
again it only lists the CN versions. Any ideas?

Take a look at the registry to verify that all references to installed

in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Garmin\MapSource\Families or \Products.
Take a look at the structure for CN8, then verify that that equivalent
entries for Fishing hotspots are in place.

Somehow I only see CN v6 and v8 in the registry. I guess it didn't install
properly although i got no error. This is a mystery.

Take a look in the Unlock Wizard list. You may have to enter a key code or
simply to activate your supplementary Fishing Hotspot database. Activate
your internet link and be ready to register and get your key codes from your
ID code on the yellow sheet.

This product doesn't require an unlock so there's no yellow card. Just
like the Topo 100K. Those installed fine but the Fish East disc isn't
recognized by Mapsource. Maybe I should return the disk to Garmin
(although bought from third party)? Doesn't make sense.
