Ahh yes, I seemed to have forgotten that part. Then it has to be a
photocell/sensor of some sort.

Or perhaps, since it is navigating on a map, it *knows* it's in a tunnel...

My old Nissan had built-in Sat Nav. The level of street lighting used
to affect the "night-time" switchover.

Guess it could just work out that its in a tunnel from the GPS coords just
before the tunnel is entered.

The big picture is that your Honda is still under warranty so contact
your selling dealer or servicing dealer & make a appointment to have
this issue looked at & hopefully resolved to your exceptions if you
start to tinker with your navigation system there is a very good
possibility that you could physically damage the unit & you really do
not want to go that way
