Looking for a Garmin hand held GPS. to use in my car and when I go Off
road with my on-off road motorcycle, I know there are a lot of models
for starters I had the 76CSX in mind, I want to stay around $250-300
range the 76CSX is on sale now for $249.00 for the basic package no
extras such as the cable or mem card. am I on the right track or looking
for suggestions of models that fill my purpose better, let me know.

The 76CSx is a nice GPS, I have had one for three or four months now and
really like it. I have had it in really heavy cover and have never lost
a satellite lock. The only thing you might want to check on is how well
it will handle the shocks when mounting it on an off-road bike. I know
Garmin makes units especially designed for mounting on a motorcycle like
my SP 2820 but other then making them waterproof I don't know if they
also do something as far as making them more shockproof.
