I have loaded Metroguide Europe v6 and the Garmin World Map with success,
but I can't get both of them to co-exist on my PC (XP Pro SP2). World Map
works fine, but Europe v6 crashes when I switch to it. When I uninstall the
World Map, v6 works fine. I have upgraded Mapsource to 6.5.

Anyone else encountered this and found a way around it?

I have loaded over 20 Mapsource/garmin maps (commercial and custom) on
my computer without any problem.... among them are City Select Europe
6 and 7, Worldmap, Metroguide US 4 and 5 and some Bluechart maps.

What is the error you see when it crashes?

If I switch to Metroguide Europe v6 with World Map loaded it usually dumps
after one or two operations. This can be zooming of the map or just pressing
'find'. It gives me error messages to pass on to Garmin support before
closing.

Garmin support have been helpful so far, but haven't solved it yet.

Nigel, have you by any chance changed any of your peripherals, say a mouse?

I am having pretty much the same problem you are describing, but that
happened only after I put on a really cute, and very cheap mouse. No
problems when I use the old mouse.

As the man said "I am not rich enough to be able to afford cheap stuff"

It looks like a corrupt MG6 install... probably the TDB or index IMG
file... Is the CD damaged?
