Does anyone know how the battery save mode works on the Garmin 60cx?
I have been unable to determine how it works and the manual does not
explain this. Does it deactivate functions of the GPS that are not used?

It deactivates the GPS receiver and turns it on every 5 seconds or so
to get the new location.
