HI,

I am doing a project wherin i need to setup a GPS tracking
system . I would like to know is there any cheap nd best GPS reciever
and transmitter(GPRS/SMS integrated) devices availabe? I will be
developing a application for the same, and hence i am looking only for
generic hardwares which comes with some kind of API's for development.
Also i would like to know if there are any GPS transmitters available
which not only transmit real time data about the locations but also
can create a map of the travel information and store it internally,
i.e., active as well as passive. Also about GPS transmitters which
comes with screens which not only tell the pepole who are monitoring
the device where it is, but also people who are using it. Considering
scenario of a transport business where the GPS device not only
transmits location data to the Transport office(control center) but
also shows the driver where he is on a display.

thanks and regards
bharath

BHrath,

Are you composing tthis solution in the form of "integrator" or
"developer" of hardware?

Where is as integrator, you will develop the software for ITS and
Tracking?

I have some suggestions about Vehile-2-Infrastructure, but need to
understand exactly what you are doing.

Thanks.,
- Regards.

Actually i work for an company that develops application software. We
are looking to venture into the GPS tracking solution space and are
looking for hardwares that can support third party applications.
