Has anyone seen an antenna that could be pinned on to a hat or shirt so
the gps unit could be kept in a pocket while walking? I am using
breadcrumb trails to record exact routes in heavily forested areas. I
have been walking while holding the gps unit up in the air. I'm sure
there must be a better way.
Thanks in advance.

I sewed a little piece of cloth inside the top of my hiking cap to
serve as a pocket for my Gilsson external antenna. That way it's out
of the way and hidden (except for the wire coming out the back of the
cap) and placed for good reception. Tilly hats include a pocket there
already and Trimble sells a cap with a pocket for an antenna.
Does your GPS receiver accept an external antenna input? If not you
could still use a re-radiating type antenna. PC-Mobile sells one that
runs on AA cells.

Hi Peter,
could you please point me to the right link for such a cap?
Thank you
