Is it possible to export the data from one computer to another?
I have my running data on my laptop but also want it on my desktop. I
cannot see any import option in the software.
Alternatively, does anyone know the file names concerned for the data and
were it is saved.
Thanks,
Rich

Don't have the software on this computer to check file menu, but there
are icons on the toolbar for importing data and exporting workouts.

This is not entirely true: the data on the unit is summarized when it gets
older, the data on the PC keeps the detail level in which it is downloaded
from the unit.
The data is well hidden in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application
Data\GARMIN\Forerunner Logbook
as "name".bin

I don't believe I said anything "not entirely true." It imports data

and leaves it on the unit, true?
More to your point, the current run (has not been reset) contains a
track log of up to 3,000 points. The 10 most recent runs in history
have up to 250. I believe only the track log data is compressed, other
data is not.

I meant that older data you download again from the unit is not the same
data that you downloaded originally.
There is graduate summarization: by week and by month and after about 2
years it is discarded. Compare this weeks data with a week data one month
old.
