I'm considering which Mapsource product to get for use with a Legend Cx.
Other than some maps exceeding 24Mb is there any reason not to go with City
Navigator instead of City Select?
In other words, are the databases identical?
Is there any difference in autorouting or any other features?
Does map segment size affect loading/scrolling?
thx

Likely you can use either in the Legend Cx. It may be that screen
messages in City Select are better for a smaller screen: Dunno. I use
City Nav 7 in my 60Cx and it works just fine (512M card).
But soon City Select will be no more. Garmin says that with City Nav 8
(Summer 06 or so) there will be no more City Select version.

Already City Select is no longer available from Garmin. Hasn't been for
a few weeks now.

Not that I'm aware of.

Yes they are.

It use to be anyway that CN offered supposedly better routing properties
but I never seemed to notice a difference.

I don't think so.

Although I get the impression that multiple segments takes longer to
build and download in MapSource.
