Anybody know of one?

I was about to pull the trigger on a Magellan 1700 (pay-as-you-go
updates) when I read somewhere that the industry trend is towards
free updates to GPS map DBs.

That last is overstating it a bit, it remains to be seen whether everyone will
go that route.
