When I run through the sequence you list, I get the "Select Maps"
option as well as "Find by Name" and when I choose "Select Maps", it
lists my mapsets as well as an option called "Use Best Maps". Seems to
work properly for me.

I am on SW version 3.30 and GPS SW version 2.90 with a 60CSx, using a
1 gig memory card, and 900 megs of maps loaded to it.
