Well, I can't answer that one but still, I was really trying to help here.
I was only speculating about where the "Select Map" should be to get to the
solution of the problem, not to have an ad lib conversation about it.
When you try to find a city via "Adresses" instead of via "Cities", after
step 4 you automatically have chosen a region in the "<Enter Region>" field
when you scrolled down to "<Enter City>".
Choose the right region first and you will not get a list of cities that are
physically near your current GPS location.
I suspect you may have loaded a corrupt map (-part).
Try the same steps with only the basemap loaded, if the problem stays away
try the other map sets one by one.

Thanks. One thing that's interesting is that I never see any <Enter Region>
field. After I select Addresses from the Find page the only fields present are
<Enter Number>, <Enter Street Name>, <Enter City>, and then the "Matches" area.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding something about the interface (I recently moved "up"
from a 6 year old eMap).

I'll try reloading the map set and/or loading one at a time and retesting, per
your suggestion. I can't reproduce the error with only the base map loaded
because the 60Cx (I assume) knows there are no other maps to "select" from.

I have a 76Cx with the same software versions and a 2GB card with City
Navigator and BlueChart maps on it. If I try your process:

At step 6 I only get the "Find by Name" choice, there is no "Select Map"
choice on that menu. I have tried it with only the basemap, with the
basemap and CN on, and also with all the maps on. Same result every
time. So I can go no further on the process you describe.

I sort of wonder it you, having a two week old unit, may have some kind
of beta version made from V3.30. Have you considered downloading and
V3.30 and loading it? You would have to download the *.exe file and run
it, I think WebUpdater would consider that you are already up to date.
