underground sample data

I thought this would be any easy thing to find, but it appears to be
very difficult. I am trying to find sample underground contamination
data which I can bring into a GIS. Typically these data would come
from boreholes which have been sampled at various depths for the
location of a contaminant, such as hydrocarbons. The reason I am
looking for some sample data, is that I would like to create a 3
dimensional grid from these samples and visualize the contaminant plume
in 3D. My example was for hydrocarbons, but it could be anything else.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
