I have never worked with shapefiles before. I only used GDF. Recently,
I have come across dataset of a country where only shapefiles are
provided by the vendor and are supposed be the best in business. This
means, that there are all the attributes available.
I am not sure what it takes to convert road network data shapefiles to
GDF. Is it possible? Is there any trouble in creating layers as they
exist in GDF from shapefiles? If anybody has ever looked into it, let
me know.
