I have a 1936 usgs 7.5' map I had scanned. The datum is NAD27. The
projection stated is only "Polyconic Projection"
If in ArcMap, I;
--Define the Projection, GCS North American 1927
--Georeference the map by clicking each corner and entering the
coordinates in the table.
--Update Georeferencing and rectify.
Do I have a valid map?
Are my coordinates throughout the map accurate?
Why do I get a warning about different coordinate systems when I add
the raster to an existing data frame with NAD83 content? Is the warning
of consequence?
Thank you very much.
