Position Description:
Coordinator for the Center for the Application of Remote Sensing
(CARS). Oversee the coordination in all information technologies (IT)
for the Department of Geography. Manage entire department's computers,
departmental servers, and a wide array of Global Positioning System
units that support instruction and research activities.
Masters degree in Geography or closely related discipline. Extensive
experience in remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems, and
computer environments. A strong background in Windows desktop and
server computing environments. MAC and/or LINUX/UNIX experience is
desireable.
Demonstrated skills in the use of remote sensing and/or GIS
technologies in a broad range of fields. Strong interpersonal,
organizational, and communication skills. The ability to offer short
courses in lab instruction.
