This is the same toolbar that was briefly posted in ArcScripts, but
for some reason, the ArcScripts server would error when users
attempted to download the file.
So I'm just sticking it in a google group, whoever wants it...can join
and download the file:
http://groups.google.com/group/oberongis
btw, i use moons when naming toolsets...this toolset has nothing to
with the Oberon shire or the Oberon programming language, or anything
else except Uranus and one of its moons!
The toolbar is a misc set of tools that I've built over the
years...nothing fancy, but there might be one or two tools that are
useful.
Summary of tools:
1. Zoom to Object ID: This tool displays an input box where a user
enters there OBJECTID value. If the feature is found, the map is
zoomed to the feature and the feature is selected.
2. Go To X,Y Coordinate: Zoom to coordinate (only useful to AG9.1
users since later version have a similar tool built in).
3. Export Selected Features to CSV (not efficient...use with small
feature selections only).
4. Copy Bounding Coordinates: This tool copies the extent of the
current map to the clipboard.
5. Remove Field Aliases: This tool sets the field aliases on the
currently highlighted layer to the actual field names in the
geodatabase.
6. One Selectable Layer: This button toggles between One-
Selectable layer mode and your normal multiple-selectable layers in
ArcMap. When this button is toggled (green background), any feature
layer that is highlighted in the table of contents becomes the only
selectable layer.
7. View in Google Maps: This button will open the default internet
browser and navigate to Google Maps using the approximate extents in
ArcMap.
8. Google Directions Tool: When this tool is selected, left-clicking
on the map will navigate the default internet browser to Google Maps
with the point clicked as the destination location in Google
directions.
9. Virtual Earth 2-D Map: This button will open the default
internet browser and navigate to Virtual Earth 2-D Maps using the
approximate extents in ArcMap. This is useful if you want to use
Virtual Earth's Birds-Eye view imagery.
10. MXD Complete History: This button will shows a history of MXDs
that have been opened, in chronologically descending order (newest at
the top of the list).
