Hello.
In a month or so I will have to choose a project for this semester, and
i was thinking of making a flight planner available on the Internet.
The main goal is that people can enter arrival and destination
airports, and then eighter get a recomended route (high/low altitude
airways) or draw their route themselfe using waypoints.
For this project i need a GIS, and a way to serve it on the Internet.
GRASS was recomended as the main engine, and i have been googling a
little for a web-interface. I found Grules but i havent realy gotten to
test eigther one of them yet. I also need some of the features found on
google maps, like the overlays when you define two or more points and
draw a line between them, as well as maybe being able to draw up "rude"
schetches of the airports.
What I realy need to know is, should GRASS be my GIS of choice, and is
there a stable webinterface for it that meets the overlay-thing? Any
help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
