What is available in the area of .NET mapping components for the desktop?
I'm aware of the offering from tatukGIS and MapInfo's mapxtreme.

ESRI has ArcObjects, you van use VB.NET and C#.

We are using C#.

ArcObjects is not a component. It is the API of ArcGIS, which is an
application. ESRI's only mapping component is MapObjects, which is an OCX.
